Anyone looking to be employed in the property industry will be required to complete the Assistant Agent course. By completing this course, you will gain an introductory understanding of all aspects of working in the real estate industry. This includes an understanding of sales, property management, trust accounts and legislation. You will also learn valuable communication techniques what will assist you in getting off to a successful start in your new role.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a ‘Statement of Attainment’ outlining the required units of competency. This statement can be used to apply to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), along with the necessary application in order to receive your Certificate of Registration. Your Certificate of Registration is valid for four years, in which time you will be required to complete the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) and transition to a Class 2 licence.

All participants as part of the enrolment process will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test as required as part of Government regulations. This test will confirm that you are ready and suitable to complete the training course.

The Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 states, anyone undertaking the functions of a salesperson or property manager in NSW must be registered as an assistant agent and hold a Certificate of Registration.

A NSW Assistant Agent Course - Certificate of Registration allows you to work in a real estate office in either sales, property management or administrative / support role. An assistant agent does have limited duties and must work under the direct supervision of a licensed agent.

To obtain a NSW Certificate of Registration, applicants are required to complete the prescribed units of competency:

If you are a new or continuing learner undertaking nationally recognised training, in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment you will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you don’t have a USI we will not be able to issue your qualification or statement of attainment.

Your USI will give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.

Collecting and reporting a student’s Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a requirement under Commonwealth legislation and a condition of your enrolment.

Creating a Unique Student Identifier (USI) only takes a few minutes and is free. It only needs to be created once and will stay with you for life, so you use this USI every time you enrol into a nationally recognised training program. This applies to:

  • New students
  • Pre-enrolled students
  • Continuing students
  • School students completing nationally recognised training

Online Course Fees: $595.00

Students once enrolled, will be given access to the online portal where they will be able to access all necessary resources as well as being able to complete assessments. As part of the online course, students will be able to communicate with a trainer / assessor should they require assistance as well as being able to book a time to receive further personalised assistance. This can be conducted by phone or by zoom video conference.


Face to Face Course Fees: $770.00

Class room or face to face sessions are conducted over four consecutive days. All students will receive materials prior to scheduled class times. Access to additional resources will also be given prior to classes commencing. All students are required to attend classes with a laptop in order to complete and submit assessments.


Once enrolment has been received and payment has been made, please note that all Certificate of Registration course fees are non-refundable. In the event that a person wishes to not proceed with current enrolment, a credit can be retained for 12 months that can be used for further training.

Method of Delivery


Face to face classes.

We hold Classe in our head office in Rosebery on a regular basis over 4 consecutive days. Students will complete their assessments via our online portal with the assistance of our trainers while being able to interact with other students during the class.

Online training.

Utilising our user friendly online training portal, students are able to complete their training courses in their own time at their own pace. Via the portal students will also have access to trainers via email who are able to assist with any queries that arise.
