BECOMING A LICENSED REAL ESTATE AGENT

Being a licensed Real Estate Agent has many advantages. You are more highly regarded in the industry with the opportunity of a greater earning capacity as well as more options in your work structure.

As part of the industry reforms that came into effect on the 23rd of March 2020, all assistant agents (certificate of registration holders) will be required to transition to a class 2 license within a 4-year period once they have commenced working in the industry.

Our years of real estate knowledge are exhibited through our training techniques with our practical assessments all being based on real-life experiences in the industry specialising in this designated field.

For those currently working in real estate, Under The Hammer Training offers an effective portfolio-based approach that looks at your current and past work experience, knowledge, and skills that may reduce the amount of time and units required to complete the course. Upon enrolment one of our trainers will assist you in this process in order to ascertain which units of competency can be marked as competent based on your evidence and levels of experience.

This course meets the educational requirements necessary to obtain a real estate licence in NSW issued by the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a nationally recognised, accredited Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) from Under The Hammer.

If you are an experienced real estate professional currently working in the industry, we provide a fantastic opportunity to upgrade to a full real estate agent’s licence using a combination of portfolio assessment and gap training.

This course is made up of 18 units of competency and is expected to be completed within 12 months of enrolment.

All students undertaking this course are required to provide their USI (Unique Student Identifier).

Experienced Agents Licence Program (EALP)


Agents who are already working in the Real Estate industry are invited to participate in our Experienced Agents Licensing Program (EALP). The EALP is designed to take into consideration the daily functions of your role along with any industry knowledge and apply them as competency towards the completion of your qualification. 

Using a blended method of assessment, we are able to accelerate the learning process, given that all participants will have a solid and proven track record as a real estate professional.  

Conducted over five days (over consecutive weeks), participants work through the components of the Certificate IV, benefiting from our highly skilled trainers and their up-to-date and relevant industry knowledge, while enjoying the interaction with other experienced agents.  

Upon completion, you will be eligible to apply to the NSW Office of Fair Trading for your Class 2 Real Estate Licence.  

Eligibility Criteria

Participants are asked to demonstrate at least 2 years of consecutive practical experience in either sales or property management. 

Participants will be asked to provide documentation to support their industry experience. 

Participants will be asked to have a third-party observation report completed by either a supervisor or their licensee in charge.

Our online training courses are unlike many in the industry. User-friendly, easy to navigate, and offering great support your online training program will allow you to complete your training course in your own time and at your own pace. Via the portal students have access to trainers via email who are able to assist with any queries that arise.

By providing an online library of resources, videos, and tutorials your online experience will feel more like that of a virtual classroom rather than traditional online courses.

Assessments are graded within a short period of time with feedback and comments submitted for review.
