CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management)
Any agent looking to obtain a Class 1 real estate licence, will need to complete the Diploma qualification CPP51112 (Diploma in Agency Management). A class 1 Licence will allow you to be placed in the category of ‘Licensee in Charge’, provided you meet the work experience requirements.
The program is designed for real estate principals, focusing on property agency, compliance, ethical standards, and consumer preferences. It encompasses residential and commercial real estate practices, such as sales, property management, strata management, business broking, stock and station, and auctioneering.
Aligned with the nationally endorsed Property Services Training Package (CPP), this diploma equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to operate and manage a real estate/property agency or business. The curriculum covers property selling, marketing, leasing, and management, along with the effective handling of physical, human, and financial resources. You will also learn and acquire the competencies applicable to client, financial, and human resource management of a small business enterprise.
This course is made up of 12 units of competency.

Industry Reforms Update as of July 1 2022.
From 1 July 2022, agent licenses will be split into class 1 and class 2. Class 1 agent licenses will be required for all persons acting as licensee-in-charge of a real estate business. For more information on this please visit this page.
If you already act as a Licensee-in-Charge of a real estate business, you will automatically receive a class 1 agent licence. Renewal of this licence will be conditional on completing the seven core units from CPP51119 or CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management) by 1 July 2024.
The completion of the seven core units is necessary to ensure Class 1 Agents who are a Licensee-in-Charge will have appropriate training across core areas including compliance, trust management, ethics, health and safety, team management, operational finances and strategic planning.
