Prerequisites: Participants must hold a Class 1 or Class 2 real estate licence and complete the prescribed units of competency to qualify for accreditation. Upon completion, participants can apply for their auctioneer accreditation through Access Canberra.

Delivery Method: Hybrid Delivery – Online learning with virtual Q&A sessions available via Zoom

Outcomes:  A ‘Statement of Attainment’ for units completed will be issued upon completion.

Course Duration: 3 months with the option of completing sooner with flexible learning

Course Overview and Licensing

To obtain Auction Accreditation, applicants must complete the prescribed units of competency and hold a Class 1 or Class 2 real estate licence. After completing the course, they can apply for their accreditation through Access Canberra.

This program is designed for participants who:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice and are seeking accreditation as an Auctioneer in the ACT.
  • Have completed any state or territory-mandated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the preceding years.

If an applicant has previously completed the full Certificate IV program and seeks enrolment in the Auctioneer Accreditation Upgrade, they will receive credit for the units already completed, such as:

  • CPPREP4161 Undertake pre-auction process

Employment pathways for individuals completing this qualification include possible job titles such as:

  • Auctioneer

Course Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Successfully complete the pre-enrolment LLN assessment.
  • Have access to a laptop/computer/iPad with speakers, microphone, and webcam capabilities.
  • Possess adequate digital literacy to complete the course online.

Please Note: Individuals on a student visa in Australia cannot enrol due to lack of CRICOS approval.

Educational Recommendations:
  • Completed CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.
Resources Needed:
  • Device with internet access and webcam for Zoom classes (if attending).
  • Proficiency with computers and internet usage.
  • Previous education transcripts for credit transfer applicants.
  • All participants must provide their USI (Unique Student Identifier).

Units of Study & Assessments

Units of Study 

To achieve A Statement of Attainment, competency must be demonstrated in: 

3 Elective units from the CPP41419 Certificate IV training package:

CPPREP4161 Undertake pre-auction processes
CPPREP4162 Conduct and complete sale by auction
CPPREP4163 Complete post-auction process and contract execution
ASSESSMENTS

Assessments include written tasks, practical demonstrations in a simulated real estate agency, scenarios, case studies, and role-plays to ensure competency in all required units.

Assessments are usually marked within 7 days from submission, with feedback provided on any marks that do not meet competency.

Assessment and learning support:

Once enrolled in the course, you will be given access to a calendar for Q&A or assistance with assessments. These are held over Zoom to allow an enriching learning experience with unparalleled support.

Learners can also message trainers via our learning platform Canvas throughout their enrolment.
