VIC ESTATE AGENT LICENCE

CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate)

To be eligible for this course applicants will need to have worked as an Agent’s Representative full-time for at least the previous two consecutive years.

There are 24 Units of competency required for licensing in Victoria as prescribed in regulations by the Business Licensing Authority (BLA) of Consumer Affairs Victoria. On successful completion of Victoria Estate Agent Licensing Program, you will be awarded a Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307 which is a nationally recognised qualification.

If you are an experienced real estate professional currently working in the industry, we provide a fantastic opportunity to upgrade to a full real estate agent’s licence using a combination of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and gap training.

EXPERIENCED AGENTS LICENCE PROGRAM

Experienced agents looking to obtain their real estate licence are invited to partake in our Experienced Agents Licence Program (EALP).

For those already working in the real estate industry, the prospect of completing lengthy assessments that mirror daily work can feel gruelling and pointless. Under The Hammer Training’s portfolio-based approach to assessment allows experienced students to combine written knowledge assessments with a collection of actual work samples, photographs/videos, stories of practice, logbooks and supervisor reports to demonstrate their competence.

This workplace-based delivery mode means that our students are actively progressing towards completing their courses every day they go to work and perform their relevant duties. Consequently, students complete their qualifications as quickly as it takes them to collect the relevant practical evidence and complete their knowledge assessments.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Participants must be able to demonstrate at least 2 years of consecutive practical experience in either sales or property management.

Participants must be able to provide documentation to support their industry experience.

Participants must be able to have a third party observation report completed by either a supervisor or their licensee in charge.

Participants must be current in the Real Estate industry, confirming that they have not been inactive for a period in excess of the past 12 months.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Use your industry experience and knowledge to save study time.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process where experience, skills and knowledge that you may possess through work and life experience, or other unrecognised training can be formally recognised. This can be for a single unit of competency, part of a qualification or a full qualification.

Evidence must be provided and assessed against the relevant training package requirements, and a gap analysis is conducted to determine any voids in competency. The learner may then be awarded full or partial RPL competency. Where gaps exist, the learner must undertake the required training and assessments in order to be awarded competency in that particular unit.

All learners training with Under The Hammer Training may apply for recognition of prior learning, and are requested to completed a pre-enrolment questionnaire. By completing this questionnaire, it assists our trainers with the evaluation of your education levels, work experience (past and present), and current skills and knowledge, which will allow them to work with you through the recognition process.

Experienced agents completing training are invited to apply for RPL Assessment which will determine how much of their industry experience can be recognised as prior learning towards the allocated units.

UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI)

If you are a new or continuing learner undertaking nationally recognised training, in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment you will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI). If you don’t have a USI we will not be able to issue your qualification or statement of attainment.

Your USI will give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.

Collecting and reporting a student’s Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a requirement under Commonwealth legislation and a condition of your enrolment.

Creating a Unique Student Identifier (USI) only takes a few minutes and is free. It only needs to be created once and will stay with you for life, so you use this USI every time you enrol into a nationally recognised training program. This applies to:

  • New students
  • Pre-enrolled students
  • Continuing students
  • School students completing nationally recognised training

VICTORIAN STUDENT NUMBER (VSN)

What is a Victorian Student Number (VSN)?

The Victorian Government has legislated and implemented a Victorian Student Number (VSN) for students in Victoria below the age of 25 years.

New or continuing learners living and training in Victoria under the age of 25 years who are undertaking nationally recognised training are required to have and supply a VSN. If you do not know or have a VSN we will be able to obtain one for you once you complete your enrolment.

A VSN is not the same as a USI so all learners under 25 in Victoria are required to have both.

A VSN is a nine-digit student identification number that is unique to each student and will be used as a key identifier on a student’s records. It will remain with the student throughout their education, until reaching the age of 25 at which point the student’s VSN will be retired.

How to Obtain your VSN

You may obtain your VSN by emailing the Victorian Student Number Operations Team. You will need to attach a photo identification and state your full name, date of birth and the name of the school you last attended in Australia

Please note:The VSN is necessary for school, TAFE and Registered Training Organisation’s (RTO’s) enrolments. VTAC does not require the VSN for university entrance enrolments, for VTAC applications you will need your VCAA student number. VIC REAL ESTATE LICENSING PROGRAM

Face to Face Course Fees: $2,500.00

All students will receive materials prior to scheduled class/session times. Access to additional resources will also be given prior to classes commencing. All students are required to attend classes with a laptop in order to complete and submit assessments.

Individual sessions may also be completed for individuals and groups utilising zoom.

Online / Correspondence Course Fees: $1,800.00

Students once enrolled, will be given access to the online portal where they will be able to access all necessary resources as well as being able to complete assessments. As part of the online course, students will be able to send queries to  a trainer / assessor should they require assistance. 

Upon successful completion of all relevant units, students are issued with the appropriate qualification certificate or statement of attainment.
 

Experienced Agents Licence Program: $2,500.00

Students once enrolled, will partake in an RPL / Portfolio Assessment process. They may be required to obtain particular evidence, complete an interview process as well as potentially a third party observation report. The completion of of the remainder of the course will be done direct with one of our expert trainers.

 

Should a student wish to withdraw from training or cancel their enrolment, the student will still be liable for full course fees after commencement.  Commencement is defined as the receipt of our Welcome Pack which includes the Student Handbook and Course Materials.

 

Method of Delivery

 

Online training.

Utilising our user friendly online training portal, students are able to complete their training courses inn their own time at their own pace. Via the portal students will also have access to trainers via email who are able to assist with any queries that arise.

Zoom one on one training.

Accommodating busy schedules, we can facilitate your real estate training by zoom, offering a one on one personalised delivery. Ideal for offering flexibility and for agents working in remote areas unable to attend classes. Following the same structure as the classes, students will work directly with a trainer while completing assessments throughout the session.
