Victorian Agents Representative – Entry-Level Course
This nationally recognised course meets the educational requirements set out by the Victorian Government to apply for an Agents Representative Certificate to commence working in the Property Industry in Melbourne and wider Victoria.

This qualification reflects the role of real estate professionals who apply knowledge of real estate practice legal agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards, and consumer preferences to conduct real estate functions.
Staff who hold this qualification are commonly engaged with:
- analysing data, industry intelligence and leads to identify prospects
- developing, building and maintaining relationships with lessors, tenants, vendors and buyers
- providing advice to lessors, tenants, vendors and buyers on the sale, purchase or lease of commercial, residential, stock and station, and property real estate
- implementing systems, forms and documents to ensure real estate agency transactions are compliant with regulatory requirements; managing risk to agency and agent, and demonstrating high standards of ethical practice
- transacting, accessing, and preserving the integrity of trust accounts to minimise customer and agency risk
- establishing, maintaining, executing and concluding contracts with lessors, tenants, vendors and buyers, including by auction
- building and promoting the agency and individual brands.
Applying to start working in Victoria
Before you can start work as an agent’s representative, your employer must:
- check you meet the eligibility requirements above – your employer may ask you to complete an Eligibility to be employed as an agent’s representative checklist (Word, 231 KB). This form is a statement in which you agree that you meet the required eligibility criteria
- give you written authority to act on their behalf.
You must give your employer a:
- Statement of Attainment showing you have completed a prescribed course. (For more information on statements of attainment, visit Australian Skills Quality Authority)
- Police check – a form for obtaining this check is available from the Victoria Police website. If your police check is more than six months old, you must also provide a statutory declaration that you have not been found guilty of a disqualifying criminal offence. You must provide your employer with a new police check within six weeks of starting work; otherwise, you will become ineligible to continue to be employed.

Under The Hammer requires that all students:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete the pre-enrolment LLN assessment.
- Have access to a laptop/computer/iPad with speakers, microphone, and webcam capabilities. These devices must also have Wi-Fi and software capabilities necessary to research, upload and download documents.
- Have adequate digital literacy to complete the course online.
- All participants undertaking this course are required to provide their USI (Unique Student Identifier).
Please note: Individuals in Australia on a student visa cannot enrol in this course. UTH does not have CRICOS approval to deliver the program to students in Australia on study visas.

A formal qualification will be issued upon successful course completion.
Credit Transfer:
Learners who have successfully completed previous training and achieved equivalent units of competency may be eligible for credit transfer. To apply, please include this within the enrolment form, you will need to provide Under the Hammer with USI access in order to validate transcripts.
RPL:
The aim of recognition of prior learning is to reduce the amount of learning required to achieve a qualification or accredited course by acknowledging an individual’s skills and knowledge acquired through formal and informal learning and past work experience.
Learners wishing to apply for RPL should notify the office and will be sent an RPL and Documentation kit with outlines this process
