This qualification reflects the role of property services principals who apply knowledge of property agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards and consumer preferences to establish and control property services functions.
This qualification applies to residential or commercial practice in real estate sales, real estate property management, strata management, business broking, stock and station, or auctioneering.

- Real Estate Agency Principal
- Agency Manager
- Agency Director
Staff who hold this qualification are responsible and accountable for the work of others and are engaged with:
- Understanding business systems, structures, property agency practices and business entities
- Understanding legal and ethical frameworks for property agency operations
- Developing systems, procedures and protocols for managing property agency functions
- Establishing and controlling trust accounts and property agency business finances
- Coordinating ethics, risk and consumer protection systems to meet industry legal and customer expectations and requirements
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of industry trends
- Developing and maintaining relationships with lessors, tenants, vendors and buyers, buyers’ agents, owners and owners’ agents
- Establishing and implementing strategic business plans and operational plans
- Establishing and implementing agency and individual branding
- Leading and managing people, including recruitment, induction, coaching and mentoring for teams and individuals
- Managing work health and safety (WHS) risk to ensure a safe working environment in the property services industry
This course meets the educational requirements of the Business Licensing Authority Victoria for applying for an Individuals Real Estate Licence.
A Real Estate Agent’s License allows you to:
- own and operate your own real estate agency
- work independently as a sole trader
Experience requirements
- You must have gained the aggregate of at least one year of full-time experience as an agent’s representative in Victoria at any time during the last three years immediately before applying for a licence.

Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Successfully complete the pre-enrolment LLN assessment.
- Possess sufficient digital literacy for online course completion.
Please Note: Individuals on a student visa in Australia cannot enrol due to lack of CRICOS approval.

- Completed CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice
To complete this course you will need the following resources:
- A device with Internet Access and a webcam if attending Zoom classes
- Computer and Internet proficiency
- Records of previous education transcripts for those who are already working in the industry and looking to receive credit transfers.

Assessments
Assessments include written tasks, practical demonstrations in a simulated real estate agency, scenarios, case studies, and role-plays to ensure competency in all required units.
Assessments are usually marked within a 7 day period from submission, with feedback provided on any marks that are not yet competent.
Assessment and learning support:
Once enrolled in the course, you will be given access to a calendar with support sessions for Q&A or assistance with assessments. These are held over Zoom to allow an enriching learning experience with unparalleled support.
Learners can also message trainers via our learning platform Canvas throughout their enrolment.
Credit Transfer:
Learners who have successfully completed previous training and achieved equivalent units of competency may be eligible for credit transfer. To apply, please include this within the enrolment form, you will need to provide Under the Hammer with USI access in order to validate transcripts.
RPL:
The aim of recognition of prior learning is to reduce the amount of learning required to achieve a qualification or accredited course by acknowledging an individual’s skills and knowledge acquired through formal and informal learning and past work experience.
Learners wishing to apply for RPL should notify the office and will be sent an RPL and Documentation kit with outlines this process.
